The Inquiry into the two Highsted Park planning applications enters its final week tomorrow (Monday 27th October).

Five Parishes Group have been represented throughout the Inquiry to ensure that local community concerns are considered in detail and to influence the Planning Inspector's final report. On Wednesday the closing statements by all parties will begin, starting with the Five Parishes Group and the Action Group, followed by National Highways, Kent Councty Council, The Duchy of Cornwall, Swale Borough Council, and finaly ending with The Applicant on Friday. Mr Bell representing both the Five Parishes Group and the Action Group will concisely layout the strong case made against approval of the Highsted Park applications and the disregard for the democratic Local Plan process.

To live stream or catch up the closing statements later see -> https://news.swale.gov.uk/campaigns/highsted-park-planning-inquiry/watching-the-inquiry

There has been a tremendous response with fund raising efforts to provide the funding needed for the legal representation and expert witnesses. Over £66,000 has been raised by Five Parishes Group, almost enough to fund their barrister and experts through to the end of the Inquiry. See the Five Parishes Group Website if you would like to donate more.

Thank you for all the support given.
