Thank you to everyone who supported my involvement in "Walk the Five Parishes"

The fundraising event took place on Sunday, 28th September. It included three walks:

  • Red route - long walk for seasoned walkers approx 16.6 miles
  • Amber route - intermediate walk, approx 11.3 miles
  • Green route - easy walk for those who prefer an easy/short route approx 3.5 miles

with tea, coffee and cake available at the St Nicholas Church, Rodmersham.

Unfortunately, as previously declared, I was unable to do the walks as planned but I thoroughly enjoyed the day by being the roving marshal (by car). Monitoring the progress of each of the walking groups on their respective routes.

The tremendous support received from Bredgar residents is expected to raise over £1500 towards the Five Parishes Group legal expenses at the Highsted Park Inquiry, which resumes on the 2nd October.

UPDATE (2/10/2025):
The total donated by Bredgar residents now stands at £1720, contributing towards the total raised for the walk event of at least £3450.

Thank you again to everyone!
